The weekend was long. I think the worst part about it was that I didn't get to see my daughter all that much but that will change this week, and be a welcome change.

Now that the weekend is over I can say it was productive, Brass got better and the high school got all of their drill on the field (a ton of sets). Not all of it has music with it yet, but that's ok. We'll get it done soon.

The busy time.

So we enter the part of the summer where drum corps and marching band overlap. It's nice cause I get a lot of my two favorite activites but at the same time I tend to burn out and need a couple of days off by the end of drill camp week for the marching band.

Really when I go back and think about it, I had it pretty good. My mom did a lot for me and was there all the time. I think that I would just have my old man be arround more. My parents divorced and I really feel that was for the best. He was gone quite a bit. But whatever.

The soccer tournament offically begins today. Weekend runs through sunday and then the week long starts the following Tuesday. Sounds like it will be really hot today... Not good for us, but I am going to bank on us being really lucky, and the heat not getting too out of control.

They are currently installing the new furnace. I know the middle of summer is not really the "ideal" time to have it done but it was the cheapest time to get it done! So yea for us. No more really loud fan from the furnace from the 70's!!!
